Doctor, Public Health Researcher and Software Developer
Hello! I'm Rajib Biswas, a public health researcher from Bangladesh with a strong commitment to advancing maternal and child health through research and innovation. I earned my MBBS degree from Faridpur Medical College and have since worked at the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b), a globally recognized health research organization.
Since my third year of medical school, I have been driven by a passion to improve public health, especially in areas impacting maternal and neonatal well-being. I am currently working with the Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) project, where my research focuses on reducing maternal mortality, addressing postpartum complications, and improving neonatal health outcomes.
In addition to my work as a public health researcher, I am a self-taught software developer. My medical background, combined with technical expertise, enables me to develop mobile and web applications that bridge healthcare needs with technological solutions. I have developed several applications aimed at monitoring patient progress, determining optimal dosing for newborns, and supporting healthcare providers with user-friendly tools that improve patient care. This unique blend of clinical insight and software development expertise enables me to design practical, effective solutions that address real-world healthcare challenges.
On 5th November 2024, I presented at the International Stillbirth Alliance (ISA) 2024 Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
In February 2024, I attended a manuscript writing workshop organized by CHAMPS in Kenya.
In January 2024, the Department of Obstetrics at Faridpur Medical College Hospital implemented a software-based inpatient management system that I developed.
In 2023, I presented at the annual meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) in Chicago.

The Inventor Kite Runner
This boy wished he could have a real kite, but he didn't know how to make one, and no one was willing to help. Undeterred, he came up with a new idea. While the other boys played with their 'real' kites, he crafted one from a polythene sheet, creating something more beautiful and creative than the traditional kites around him.
